What’s On at The Hotel Show Dubai and The Leisure Show

Dubai, September 16th 2019: The 20th edition of The Hotel Show Dubai and The Leisure Show will take place from 17th to 19th September, as a part of Middle East Design and Hospitality Week 2019, at Dubai World Trade Centre. This year, the GCC’s leading hospitality and leisure events are co-located with INDEX, Workspace, Surface Design Middle East, FIM and INDEX Home.

Over 400 companies offering products, technology and services that cater to the GCC’s hospitality and leisure sectors will be present at The Hotel Show and The Leisure Show located across Sheikh Saeed Halls, Trade Centre Arena and Halls 4, 5 and 6.

Products, features and forums not to be missed at The Hotel Show Dubai and The Leisure Show include:

Sleep Robot

Do you struggle to sleep when away from home? You are not alone. A new global study commissioned by IHG Hotels & Resorts reveals that four out of five travellers have trouble sleeping when away from home.

The Somnox Sleep Robot helps people to fall asleep. That’s right, a programmable sleep buddy that you can take to bed with you to ‘soothe mind and body to help you fall asleep faster, sleep longer and start your day feeling fully recovered and energised’.

Somnox simulates human breathing through rhythmic inhalation and exhalation. By physically feeling the breathing of the Sleep Robot, the user subconsciously adjusts his or her breathing rhythm to it. The breathing rhythm can be set with the accompanying app and if you like listening to relaxing sounds or a guided meditation when drifting from light to deep sleep the Sleep Robot offers that option too.

A 20,000 USD, gold-plated coffee machine

If a cup of cold drip coffee prepared in an ornate machine is what it takes to wake you up each day, then the Hotel Show Dubai has you covered. At the event, DutchLab will showcase its Gold edition cold drip coffee machine that costs just 20,000 USD.

Unlike regular coffee-making methods, which require electricity for hot water, Dutch coffee uses the cold drip method, which requires only a cold drip-coffee machine, small round filters, water (not necessarily hot) and the force of gravity. The structure of this coffee machine consists of three flasks aligned vertically and water running through them with the help of the cheapest form of energy: the force of gravity.

Yes, it takes time but that’s what assures the quality. Also, research suggests that cold brewing is healthier than hot brewing. Add a touch of gold to that, and voila you’ve got liquid luxury.

Circular Mattress

Not a circular shaped mattress, this is more along the lines of Circle of Life from The Lion King. Did you know that 35 million mattresses are thrown away every year just in Europe? In the United States, it’s 20 million.

At The Hotel Show Dubai, Royal Auping and DSM-Niaga will present a completely recyclable mattress. Each part of the mattress is easy to separate and is completely recyclable for reuse in a new mattress. For environment-serious hotels in the region, the circular mattress is a responsible step forward.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pool Table

Moulded directly from a 1969 Camaro muscle car, this unique pool table comes in various hues and colours, with your choice of Z28 or SS trim packages, real working lights, chrome car parts, rims and tyres, and professional slate beds. Built in the USA, the new Camaro table is a collectable item that is also a great pool table with the custom-built playing surface.

This Pool table is an officially licensed product from Chevrolet and GM and comes with its own "VIN" number (Serial Number) and "Title" (Certificate of Authenticity). The beauty will be showcased at Interpool’s stand at The Leisure Show.

Fitness zone

Matrix will launch five new pieces of cardio and strength equipment at The Leisure Show; CXP Training Cycles the new series for indoor cycling, Target Training Consoles on their renovated S-Drive Performance Trainer and Rower, Treadmill T5X GT – a group training treadmill console, and the Glute Trainer - the latest Matrix Plate Loaded Strength Machine will help users tone muscle, build power, and improve hip and core stability with a smarter, more stable take on high-intensity glute training.
